I haven’t posted since the weekend; work commitments have stripped away my writing time. Anyway, back in the saddle.
I was struck by the nettle borders along the Drève Saint Michel. They look neatly trimmed, as if a wild gardener had been at work. Lush they are, bursting with new growth. Nettles love nitrogen-rich, disturbed ground and here, close to where the dogs are let out, they have it.

There also seems to be some ‘interplanting’. Look closely and you will see some Shaggy Soldier, 𝐺𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑠𝑜𝑔𝑎 𝑞𝑢𝑎𝑑𝑟𝑖𝑟𝑎𝑑𝑖𝑎𝑡𝑎, en direct du Mexique, accentuating this sylvan border.
It really does look quite intentional.
