      • Every walk is different

The trees change, the light shifts, and the stories come and go, but it always stays personal and relaxed.

Here’s what others have said after spending some time in the forest with me, from long-time locals to those seeing it with fresh eyes.

People often tell me they start to notice more. The line of an old track, the shape of a veteran oak, something in a place name that hadn’t quite registered before.

Have a read, then picture yourself here. Walking, listening, and seeing the forest a little differently.

“We went on a tour with Bob as a very mixed group: 1 adult (me) and kids of 6 and 9 years old - and all three loved it!

Bob kept it interesting for all of us, we learnt about many plants and even got to taste some of them.

Kids loved tasting lemonade of dandelion and burdock, which Bob brough for them to the tour.

Will certainly do a tour again, and very much recommend it to everyone!”

“We had a lovely walk with Bob, to see the flowering bluebells, in parts of the Foret de Soignies which are not so well-known as Hallerbos. During the walk, we learned a lot about the plants and trees we saw, and about the history of the area. Joining Bob is the best way to discover the forest - I look forward to his upcoming walks!”

“I really enjoyed an evening walk through the forest yesterday, and highly recommend Bobs Walks.

Lots of interesting facts about the forest, the meanings behind the path names, Belgian history, all intertwined with the plants and animals that call the Zonienwoud their home.

The pace was gentle, giving us lots of opportunity to stop and admire the flowers, take photos, etc.

Bob’s explanations were informative, yet allowing us time to share our knowledge too, along with pausing to listen to the peace, the birdsong, and take in the aroma of the drifts of bluebells.”
