Back in September, whilst on one of my regular walks, I realised that a memorial was missing.

It was near the intersection of Drève St. Michel and the Sentier de Kaasmans. To my surprise, early September, it wasn't there.

On British Trains there is a dictum in the event of there being something not right - "See it, say it, sorted" and that's what I did. I contacted Eurocontrol where she worked and they were unaware of its removal. I contacted other organisations such as the local commune and Natuurenbos. I posted in the local FB group. I heard nothing.
Yesterday, I was out for a walk and lo and behold!

In all likelihood my intervention had little or no influence and I'm just happy that the memorial has been replaced. But maybe it did. So if you see something that seems wrong whilst out walking in the Forest, perhaps speak up for the trees, wildlife and memorials. You may be having more of an impact that you may think.
