      Shaggy Dung Fungus

A familiar fungus with a toxic cousin, here we see the Shaggy Inkcap, ๐ถ๐‘œ๐‘๐‘Ÿ๐‘–๐‘›๐‘ข๐‘  ๐‘๐‘œ๐‘š๐‘Ž๐‘ก๐‘ข๐‘ , standing proud. Tomorrow will tell (or show) a different story for it will continue to deliquesce, a posh word that means to turn to liquid, in this case, a black inky fluid. Indeed, one could use it as ink should that be your Natural Art thing. Perhaps you can make out the discolouration at the lower edge of the cap, it even suggests the dripping has started.

Whilst young, firm and white, it is said to be edible. Its cousin, the black and white coloured Magpie Inkcap, really isnโ€™t.
