Tbh, I find bracket fungi a bit, well, boring. Brown concrete sticking out of dead trees.
At least this one has some redeeming features, starting with the upper surface of striated, glistening shades of gleaming bronze, contrasting with the white. It also has a rather fun common name, Red-belted Conk. Conk is slang for a large nose; the red belts come later, after the striations fuse.
