This is a real earworm for me, triggered by the first spikes of violet-blue.
These belong to the Blue Bugle, ๐ด๐๐ข๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ . The Dutch name, zenegroen, points to an older use, as a wound herb. French gives us bugle rampante, describing form rather than function.
โBugleโ is a centuries-old word in English, from Old French, referring then to a curved hunting horn. No poacher would have set out with one.

The small, two-lipped flowers stand in ranks on upright stems, ever ready to sound the chasse for the faerie folk.
Hallali!
