I’ve not posted for a couple of days. No matter, the Forest doesn’t count time like that.
I went to Groenendaal, as I often do on a Tuesday, to see what is changing, and, rarely, what remains consistent.
I was drawn, as I often am, to a patch of nettles. Marvellous plants, ecological powerhouses, democratic food. The leaves here were some of the largest I have seen.

The seeds were still green; later, they will turn browner and be worth their own harvest. To be taken from your own garden, naturally.
But what had caused this semi-gigantiousness?
The car-park was right nearby and the spillage of eager hounds from cars accounts, probably, for much. Nettles love nitrogen, and dog pee has it in spades.
