      Redshanks

      𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭

Not an edible, the plant saw some medicinal use as an astringent and for treating minor wounds and digestive complaints.

French and Dutch speak of the leaves’ resemblance to those of a peach. In English, ‘shanks’ means ‘legs’.
