      Here the hue names the fungus, as it does the bark spice. This is the Cinnabar Polypore, 𝑃𝑦𝑐𝑛𝑜𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑢𝑠 𝑐𝑖𝑛𝑛𝑎𝑏𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑢𝑠, hosted on dead cherry, a small flare of colour where the work of decay is quietly underway.
